Bleed Area

The bleed is the 3mm extra space added to the outer edges of the printed document. For example, with the 243×120 scratch card you will see that the file that you are creating is actually 249 x 126mm instead of 243x120mm. This extra space is what we call the bleed area, which will be removed when the scratch card is trimmed to its final size.

Please ensure that all background graphics or photos extend to the edge of the bleed area. The dimension of this bleed area is 2941 x 1488 pixels. Not having your background graphics or photos extend into the bleed area could result in a white or unprinted border around the edge of the scratch card.

Trim Size

The trim size is the final size the scratch card will be trimmed to. For this landscape format this will be 243x120mm and is indicated by the red dotted line.

Save Zone

Keep your text and important elements within the safe zone, as trimming of the scratch card might affect the 3mm grey area. The safe zone for the 243×120 scratch card is 237 x 114mm and is indicated by the green dotted line.
